The purpose of poster presentation is to catch your viewer's attention and to acquaint the participants of the symposium with the fundamental of your project quickly and easily. These are following guidelines for an effective poster presentation:

  • Your poster should fit on the board that is 4'w x 2'h. The exact size is up to you.
  • The abstract title and the authors' name should be included at the top.
  • The text should be kept brief (Do not use all capital letters).
  • Headings should be appropriate to the nature of poster presentation. For original research work, the headings should be organized as Introduction/Background, Methodology/Research design, Results/Evaluation, Conclusion and Recommendations. For case reports, the author should organize the text as Introduction/Background, Case details/Evaluation and Conclusion. Others, the presentation may be subdivided as the authors desire.
  • The author should use graphics (charts, tables, pictures) that can be understood in one minute or less.
  • Ideas should flow from panel to panel logically.
  • The author should assume the viewer will be reading your poster from approximately 3 feet away.
  • The viewer should gain new knowledge or insight by visiting your poster.

Poster Hanging and Removal Time

Hanging time: 8:00 - 9:00 hours on 16.09.2013
Removal Time: 12:00 - 16:00 hours on 18.09.2013

*All posters left after the removal period will be discarded.

Poster Judgement and Award

Posters will be judged based on the submission guidelines plus the overall design of the poster itself.
